2018 Real Estate Conferences to Consider Attending

As you know well by now, the real estate world is a busy one. Between showings, closings,  clients meetings and open houses, the schedule of an agent doesn’t leave much time for your own professional development.

Schedule an hour on your calendar to finally look into the latest digital marketing techniques just to fill it with an extra showing? We hear you. With busy schedules and a quickly changing industry, it’s easy to feel like there’s not enough time in the day to keep up with the latest. But what if you committed to setting aside your whole day? Or multiple days? The beauty of conferences does just that.

This year, start early by setting aside a few days to fully dedicate to your own success. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite local and national conferences of the year below:

LeadingRE Conference Week | Las Vegas | January 29 - February 2, 2018

Just around the corner at the end of January is an amazing conference to start your year off inspired and educated. Leading Real Estate Companies conference week contains five distinct real estate conferences over a three day period. With the conferences broken into separate events, you can be sure that the “Agent Summit” section is exactly what you’re looking for as an agent. Nice to know you’re not having to share the spotlight with others in the industry. Bonus: Sunny Las Vegas in January is never a bad idea.

Sell-a-bration | Dallas | February 5-6, 2018

The newly coined Residential Real Estate Council (formerly The Council of Residential Specialists), is hosting their annual meeting of top producing agents this February. A highlight of this year’s gathering in Dallas will be motivational speaker, Mel Robbins, along with sessions on prospecting, listing presentations and client satisfaction.

Tennessee Realtors Spring Convention | Franklin, TN | March 19 - 20, 2018

Many of the most important networking opportunities consist of connecting with those in our own backyard. Lucky for us, the Tennessee Realtors Spring Convention is right here in Franklin, TN this year. Enjoy two days filled with CE sessions and networking opportunities to get you up to date on current tips, tools, and trends.

REBarCamp | Nashville | April 6, 2018

As Tennessee largest real estate technology conference, this conference is a must for those that typically don’t love the traditional conference. The discussion topics are literally decided the day of when attendees take a survey of what they are most interested in learning about. Within 30 minutes the schedule is posted and attendees are divided into different rooms based on what interests they have. The conference warns that it has a true “camp” feel and say that most people bring “lawn chairs, snacks and portable wifi”. One last tidbit of info: it’s free. Grab those tickets!

Ninja | Parks in Cool Springs | April 10-13, 2018

Ninja Selling is a system that is based on a philosophy of building relationships, listening to the customer, and helping them achieve their goals. It is less about selling and more about helping people solve their pain and pleasure. Offered twice per year at Parks in Cool Springs, the Ninja program is what Parks as a company and our Marketing Department uses to build tools, resources, and training for agents year round.

Tom Ferry Success Summit | Anaheim | August 6 - 9, 2018

While many conferences dive into the latest trends and technologies, Tom Ferry Success Summit dives into the true necessities of how to be successful as a real estate agent. With focuses on daily routines, long-term planning and tactical tips on how to better your business - this is a must for those that are focused on growing their career in the industry.

National Association of Realtors Conference & Expo | Boston | November 2-5, 2018

Arguably the biggest, and known as the real estate conference, the NARC takes place in Boston this year. With tens of thousands of attendees, the networking opportunities with other like-minded agents (and others in the industry) are limitless. The topics focus on the biggest industry trends with over 100 educational sessions and 400 exhibitors. Not to mention sponsored parties and opportunities to give back with organizations like Habitat for Humanity. With a new location each year, it’s not a bad setup for yearly attendance. This year’s registration opens up in May.
